⚠️ Important 2026 update: Saskatchewan has not run a regular SINP Expression of Interest (EOI) draw since September 12, 2024, and new job-offer intake was paused in February 2025. For 2026, SINP uses a sector-based model with a reduced allocation of 4,761 nominations. Reaching the 60-point minimum no longer guarantees an invitation — selection now depends on your sector and, in most cases, a Saskatchewan job offer. Speak with a TopNation RCIC for current options.

What Is the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP)?

The SINP allows Saskatchewan to nominate skilled workers, entrepreneurs, and farm owners for Canadian permanent residency. The International Skilled Worker category uses an Expression of Interest (EOI) system, scoring candidates out of 100 points based on education, language, work experience, and Saskatchewan connections.

Saskatchewan offers three sub-categories under the International Skilled Worker stream: Employment Offer (for those with a Saskatchewan job offer), Occupation In-Demand (for workers in occupations on Saskatchewan’s in-demand list), and Express Entry (aligned with the federal system). Each pathway has slightly different requirements but uses the same EOI scoring system.

Why Choose Saskatchewan?

Saskatchewan has one of Canada’s strongest economies per capita, driven by agriculture, mining (potash and uranium), oil and gas, and a growing technology sector. The province offers an extremely affordable cost of living, particularly in Regina and Saskatoon, with housing costs a fraction of those in Toronto or Vancouver. Saskatchewan’s immigration program is also known for being one of the fastest and most accessible PNPs in Canada.

Saskatchewan SINP Calculator — FAQ

What is the minimum SINP points score?
For the Occupation In-Demand sub-category, you need a minimum of 60 points out of 100. For the Express Entry sub-category, the minimum is also 60 points. The Employment Offer sub-category has different requirements focused on the job offer rather than points.
What occupations are on Saskatchewan’s in-demand list?
Saskatchewan’s in-demand occupation list includes healthcare professionals, engineers, IT workers, skilled tradespeople, and agricultural managers. The list is updated periodically by the province. Your occupation must be on this list to qualify for the Occupation In-Demand sub-category.
Can I apply to SINP without Canadian work experience?
Yes. The International Skilled Worker category is designed for candidates outside Canada. You need at least one year of work experience in your field within the last 10 years. Canadian experience is not required but adds points if you have it.
How fast is SINP processing?
SINP is known for relatively fast processing. After receiving an invitation, you have 60 days to submit your application. The province typically processes nominations within 1–3 months. The overall timeline to PR is approximately 12–15 months.
Does Saskatchewan have an Express Entry stream?
Yes. The SINP Express Entry sub-category selects candidates from the federal Express Entry pool. If nominated, you receive an additional 600 CRS points. You must have a minimum of 60 SINP points and meet Express Entry eligibility to qualify.
